‘The incredible Jaguar Camp just keeps getting better’.
Our mobile camp offers the adventure angler the ultimate in multi-species fishing with the potential for that ‘bucket list’ capture. The trips are run in the main Essequibo River between two separate camps, based nearby local Amerindian villages. These locations provide many miles of river to explore and fish.
The campsites provide our anglers with two unique fishing areas:
We offer so much to do and see for solo anglers, couples, fishing partners, families (with kids of 9yrs and above) and small groups, up to a maximum of eight anglers at any one time.
Each camp is set up under shade trees, providing a great view of the river to wake up to. The ‘safari-style kitchens’ supply our guests with wholesome camp cooking and a communal area serves to provide the perfect area to discuss the days catches, plan the next day or to just relax and take in a cold drink.
For welfare, the camps are equipped with flushing WC’s and a shower area, both of which provide privacy away from the main camp.
Whilst camp life is basic, it is also comfortable and homely, with individual tented accommodation providing safe and secure sleeping arrangements. Laundry is done on a daily basis providing fresh sheets and towels. The camps are run by our Amerindian partners who are on hand at all times and there is always a ‘host’ from our team there to support you.
Food is predominantly local and is plentiful. Guests will have three good meals a day and there is always a good supply of water, soft-drinks and beer, all maintained at a chilled temperature in the on-camp fridges/freezers.
The camp staff are focused at all times on your welfare.

Check out this great video of our US / Canadian promotional Manager - Mark Bolton locking horns with over 200lb of angry Arapaima.
This represents Marks personal best (for the time being) for this particular species.
Want to know more about Arapaima then go to the 'Our Environment' tab on the HOME menu and click on Fish Species.
Check out this great video compilation. Taken over a number of Jaguar Explorer Camps these resident Cats from the River Essequibo give you an idea of what you can expect - Insane angling!!!
This pretty much sums up what can be expected at the Jaguar Explorer Camp in Guyana.
Filmed by the main man himself (Steve Townson) with Bill Day (Billschannel).
So if you thought that catching one of these legendary fish was confined to TV personalities only, check out these captures from recent trips to both Guyana & Bolivia.
